Arnolt - Bristol competition roadster  1956 for sale by Copley Motorcars

1956 Arnolt Bristol roadster competition model, 130hp 2.0 litre Bristol engine, 4 speed transmission with overdrive, roll cage, fuel cell, fire suppression system, restored in 1990s by 25+ year same owner, VSCCA campaigned, hours old fresh engine rebuild, always prepped and fully sorted for street or track. This very Arnolt - S/N 404/X/3019 - was delivered new to Ed Rahal at Wacky Arnolt's showroom in Chicago in the spring of 1956. Over the next three SCCA race seasons, Ed had several firsts and numerous podium finishes until taking delivery of his new Jaguar D-Type in 1958. Accompanying 404/X/3019 is a photo catalog of the restoration process as well as period photographs of Ed Rahal trackside and the feature story of Ed in the January 2008 Vintage Racecar magazine. 404/X/3019 is arguably one of the most documented and important Arnolts and would be a wonderful addition to any collection, as well as being historic event eligible.
